King Cake FAQ's

Q: What food allergies I should know about the king cake?

A: All our king cakes may contain or may have been in contact with the following items:

  • Milk
  • Eggs
  • Wheat
  • Soybeans
  • Peanuts
  • Pecans
  • Coco
Q: How long will my king cake stay fresh?

A: Our cakes are baked fresh the day it is shipped.  With that, our king cakes will stay fresh 2 to 3 days after arriving.  If you want to keep it longer, see below “How do I freeze my king cake” section.

Q: How do I freeze my king cake?

A:  When your cake arrives, take the cake out of the box and put in the freezer just as is.  Do not unwrap it from the bag it’s in.  That’s it!

On the day you are wanting to eat it, take your cake from the freezer 2 to 3 hours beforehand.  Set it on the counter still in the bag and after the time you let it set out, open the bag, cut and enjoy your cake.

For added “just baked” freshness, put a slice in the microwave about 8 seconds and Voila!

Q: Can I send a king cake to someone who lives in an apartment/dorm?

A:  Yes you can, but UPS may not leave the cake if no one answers the door.  Also, if the apartment is in a residential community, UPS may deliver your cake to a mailroom/front desk/office.

With sending king cakes to someone who lives in a dorm, be certain that all important information: name of the dorm, street address of the dorm, suite/apartment number or alphabet of the dorm are listed.  i.e. Louisiana Dormitory, 123-4 Whatever Street, Dorm 4C, City, State and Zip Code.
